Our Cleaning Services Terms & Conditons
We dont believe in onerous contracts, forcing you to pay for 6 or 12 months of cleaning, even with our outstanding reputation, its hard to justify this, only companies that doubt their standards will tie you in to such contracts. We won't ask you to pay signing on fees or advanced quarterly payments, you need provide no products nor have to provide any insurance.
Here we set out the terms of our service delivery and what we expect from you.
Your use of the website at www.uk-domestic-cleaning.com ('the Site') our quote system and all our Cleaning Services (the "Services"), is governed by these terms of use, and by using this Site and our Services you consent to these terms of use. You may print and keep a copy of these terms of use. The terms of use are a legal agreement between us and can only be modified with the prior written consent of a Director of Expert Cleaning Services Ltd ("the Company"). The Company reserves the right to change the terms at its discretion by changing them on this webpage of the Site. If you do not agree with any of the terms and conditions in these terms of use you should cease use of the Site immediately.
Use of This Website
These terms and conditions govern your use of our website; by using our website, you accept these terms and conditions in full. If you disagree with these terms and conditions or any part of these terms and conditions, you must not use our website or quote application.
Use of the quote application is express consent to these terms and conditions in full.
Your Obligations
- To provide a safe working environment for our staff, e.g. safe electrical appliances, securely fixed wardrobes, cupboards, shelves, lampshades etc.
- To pay promptly for all services provided.
- During the period of this agreement and for a period of 12 months after the termination of this agreement, the client will not employ any staff that have been employed by us and we reserve the right to claim any damages, loss of earnings, recruitment costs, training costs and any court costs where appropriate, subject to a minimum of £1000.
- Please ensure that access to the property is available, otherwise we will charge you; "lockouts" are charged at 90% of the clean
- We can devote more of our time in providing you with the best of our professional services should you spend a few moments tidying before we arrive.
Our Charges
- Payment for your first clean is by credit or debit card.
- We reserve the right to collect payments by recurring debit or credit card facility.
- Payment can be made by Credit Card for subsequent cleaning services but are subject to 3% surcharge.
- Payment can be by standing order or BACS, subject to approval; ask for our form.
- Please note all accounts that become overdue will be passed to a debt collection company.
- All accounts without exception will be subject to a surcharge of 8% plus applicable taxes to cover our costs of recovery and will also be subject to any legal costs incurred in obtaining settlement.
- We charge strictly by the hour for each maid, a ‘maid-hour' e.g. a typical 4-maid hour clean would generally be completed by 2 staff for 2 hour duration.
- Our minimum service period is only 1 ‘maid hours' (or 2 work hours).
- Bookings can be made for the minimum period plus increments of ½ ‘maid hours' thereafter.
Cancellation
- Please give us at least 3 full working days notice if you do not want a particular clean or are on holiday.
- Cancellations for individual cleans require 3 full working days notice in order to re-schedule our team and avoid having to charge you.
- Our cancellation charges are dependent upon the notice given and are as follows;
Notice period for individual cleans;
- Outside 3 full working days; nil,
- 2 working days 30%, 1 working day 40%,
- Same day 70%, upon arrival 90%
- Should you be unable to commence your cleaning service after payment of the initial fee, this can be refunded subject to a £10 administration cover fee plus any fees incurred for late cancellation.
- After we have provided 4 weeks service, we will require a notice period for the cancellation of the service of the lesser of 2 visits or 4 weeks.
Insurance
- We are fully insured for public liability, employer's liability, fidelity bonded and consequential loss of keys.
- Our accidental damage insurance is subject to an insurers imposed excess of £250.
- We do not provide cover for accidental damage for the first £250 of any unconfirmed* loss.
* Our staff must report breakages to us. We do not make deductions from staff wages, so they have nothing to hide or any reason to omit details of breakages. We will agree a value and credit your account accordingly or, at our descretion will replace the item for you. Larger claims will be handled by our insurers or their appointed agents.
Customer Care
- We will keep in contact with you via your email address and mobile phone text messages.
- It is important you keep us informed of any changes to mobile or email address.
- Every clean carries our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, please let us know if anything isnt to your liking.
- We will arrive on any agreed date but cannot always specify a time.
- We are able to work between 8.30 a.m. and 4.00 p.m, Monday through Friday
- Bookings are made based on time and therefore we cannot guarantee completion of the clean if insufficient time is booked.
The Teams
- All our teams are fully trained in our ExpertMaid cleaning techniques.
- Our staff usually work in teams of two, but we reserve the right to work in singles or teams of three.
- They are uniformed and are usually in a fully liveried car.
- All our staff are CRB vetted and insured whilst in your home.
- All Staff are our employees and you have no worries over TAX, NI, Holidays or insurance cover.
- Staff will not eat, drink unless invited and will never smoke in your home.
- Our training and working practices are designed to ensure that we comply with all applicable health and safety regulations.
- We endeavour to provide the same cleaning team where appropriate or requested.
- This may not always be possible due to holidays, absences, varying cleaning frequencies & other commitments
Our Service
- Our ‘thorough' clean will involve the top to bottom dusting, wiping (all woodwork & skirting boards), vacuuming and mopping of all rooms.
- Our ‘quick' clean involves the dusting and/or wiping of horizontal surfaces and the vacuuming and/or mopping of floors.
- Certain tasks, such as the pulling out of beds and sofas (where appropriate) and the wiping down of large tiled areas, can be completed on a rota basis.
- Interior windows can also be cleaned on a rota basis, however, if required we will clean them all at once.
- We can plan your clean so that we do specific tasks, such as change bedding, water plants etc.
- We are happy to work with you in prioritising the areas we clean, so that you get the maximum benefit from our time and services.
- We prefer to work to your list of cleaning requirements or a TailorMaid Cleaning Schedule.
- We provide all the cleaning equipment and supplies, with some exclusions
- wood polish, brass or silver polish
- toilet brushes.
Security
- Staff are fully vetted and CRB (Police) checked.
- We operate a fully coded, insured key holding service.
- Appointed staff only have access to keys on the day of your clean; keys are held by the directors inbetween cleans.
- We are insured to protect your home and our staff. (see 'Insurance')
Special Circumstances
- Special requests for additional services should be made 2 days before a service day , so we can confirm an agreed payment if required and that we can accommodate any changes
- If your scheduled service day falls on a public holiday, then this clean will be cancelled and you should contact us to re-arrange an alternative date.
- We will treat your home with the greatest of care and respect.
- Please inform us of any items that require special arrangements for care.

Data Protection Act & Us
By providing us with your information you consent to us obtaining (whether from you or from others), holding and using personal data about you in connection with the business of cleaning services as specified on this site or via our InstantQuote(c), for so long as may be reasonably required for our legitimate purposes. We will use that information for communicating with you. We may also provide that information to third parties with a legitimate reason to receive it in connection with your dealings with us or to such third parties as required by you or the law, whether within or outside the European Economic area.
